P.T. and mass drill on the timetable for every standard, sports events through the year on the Wadala grounds, and the inter-school football league the SIWS Sports Academy runs.
What sport looks like here
- P.T. is a timetabled subject, not a free periodPhysical Training is on the timetable for every standard from V to X, alongside mass drill — which is to say the school treats it as teaching rather than as the gap between two lessons.
- Sports events run through the yearOn the Wadala grounds, alongside the cultural performances, debates and competitions the rest of the co-curricular year is made of.
- The turf pitch, and the hall behind itA netted turf pitch for games and matches, with the school hall — where assemblies, mass drill, meditation and prize-giving all happen — a few steps away.
- The SIWS Sports Academy’s inter-school football leagueThe Society runs an Inter School Football League in age categories U14 and U17, for boys and girls, played on the school’s own pitch.
The Inter School Football League

The SIWS Sports Academy runs an Inter School Football League on the school’s own turf pitch, in two age categories — under-14 and under-17 — for boys and girls.
The teams line up on the pitch to be greeted before play starts, in front of the league banner, in kit. It is the one fixture in the school year that brings other schools onto this campus to compete.
Kick-off

The league is started on the school’s own pitch, with the ball placed at the centre spot and the staff who organised it standing over it.
It is a small ceremony and it is the point of the thing: the fixture is hosted here, so the students playing in it are on their own ground.
