What has happened in the Primary Section lately, newest first.

Lately at the Primary Section

  • Staff and children in dance costume on stage with a trophy and a giant cheque for twenty thousand rupees, in front of a Natya Tarang 2026 backdrop.

    First place at Natya Tarang 2026

    Our dancers took first place in Category A — Pre-Primary to Standard IV — at the inter-school and college group dance competition, coming back with the trophy and a cheque for twenty thousand rupees.

    Our 80th Independence Day was marked on stage by the children of the Primary Section, and filmed. At Raksha Bandhan they tied rakhis to the men and women who look after the neighbourhood.

  • Certificates — date of birth, student bonafide, leaving certificate and similar — are issued between 1.00 p.m. and 2.30 p.m. only.

  • No school business is transacted on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.

Special prize for costume and props at Natya Tarang

Twenty children of the Primary Section, Matunga, performed the Dangi folk dance — the tradition of the Gujarat and Maharashtra border — at the Natya Tarang inter-school competition. Their costumes and props won a special award and a prize of ₹5,000.
